Marlene feels good again on new single ‘Sweet’
Sweden’s sunniest pop star is back with a new track! Marlene is preparing the release of her upcoming EP and treats us to a new song called ‘Sweet’. “I’m currently finishing up my second single ‘Why Didn’t You Tell Me’, but before I release that I really wanted to give you guys something new to listen to”, she explained to her fans on Facebook, confirming ‘Sweet’ will be part of the upcoming EP. It is exactly the feel good song Europe can use in these days of hot weather!

Marlene, who broke through in 2014 with her debut EP Indian Summer, returned with a brand new single ‘All I Want’ in June, delivering some serious 90s pop melodies. ‘Sweet’ is all about starting to enjoy the little things in life again after a tough period, packed in an infectious chorus with a seriously deep beat! It turns out one of the things in life Marlene enjoys a lot, is playing tennis with her friends. “The same day as we had written ‘Sweet’ I sat at home listening to the song in my headphones and when I closed my eyes I got this image in my head of a bunch of friends playing a crazy made up game of tennis… It was the best video shoot I’ve been part of! We had so much fun and everyone really gave it their all. We played some very creative tennis that day!”, she explained to PopJustice. Marlene is right: both the video and the track are a lot of fun!
