Lana Del Rey puts on music while she’s watching the boys
Have you ever longed for a soundtrack to play while you are checking out hot dudes? Lana Del Rey delivers. She just premiered a new track called ‘Music To Watch Boys To’, taken from her upcoming third major label album Honeymoon, out next week. The singer is promoting the anticipated release with promotional singles and ‘Music To Watch Boys To’ is the last one. It’s slow, sultry and sensual. What else did you expect from miss Del Rey?
Lana came back in July with the release of promo single and title track ‘Honeymoon‘, that did not cause much hype around her, due lack of a proper hook. The first official single ‘High By The Beach’ and its video however, restored all faith as it is one of the best things she has done in years. She then premiered the jazzy ‘Terrence Loves You’ and now it’s time for ‘Music To Watch The Boys To’, which was rumoured to be the first official single. Although it’s a lovely track, ‘High By The Beach’ was indeed the better choice. ‘Music To Watch Boys To’ is typical Del Rey: it’s slow paced, she sounds hypnotic in an almost whispering way, the chorus has a strong hook and the track is atmospheric in a classical manner. Not sure if it should be released as an official single, but it is well produced and will probably work well in context of the whole album. It’s another taste that definitely makes me excited for the release of Honeymoon on the 18th of September.
