Lion Babe goes disco on new single
If you checked out Caracal, the recent Disclosure album, you probably already heard a Lion Babe track. Their ‘Hourglass’ was one of the absolute highlights. If not, I’m here to enlighten you! The duo consisting of singer Jillian Hervey and producer Lucas Goodman has been quite active in the music industry ever since they released their neo-soul debut single ‘Treat Me Like Fire’ in 2012. An EP followed in 2014 and now they are preparing the release of their debut album, appropriately called Begin, in January 2016. ‘Where Do We Go’ is the newest single!

Lion Babe released the singles ‘Impossible’ and ‘Wonder Woman’ earlier this year and now they decided to go full on disco with ‘Where Do We Go’. The track sounds like it escaped from the 70s in a time machine to now, where it received an updated and fresh production and instrumentation. The overall vibe is still pretty much old school and it suits the voice of the powerful frontwoman Jillian perfectly. You get catchy trumpets, a banging piano rhythm and most of all a deliciously memorable chorus. If this does not invite you to put on your dancing shoes and glittering outfit, I don’t know what will!
