Calvin Harris and Rihanna deliver another sure fire hit
Calvin Harris’ popularity is not even close to fading yet judging by the worldwide success of his hit ‘How Deep Is Your Love’. To secure another smash he teams up with Rihanna again. The pop star is currently busy promoting her latest record ANTI (please make ‘Love On The Brain’ a single, please!), but found some time to record with her ‘We Found Love’ collaborator. The brand new single ‘This Is What You Came For’ is out today. Are they able to recreate the same magic as back then?

First of all let us be clear about one thing. Whether you like it or not, ‘This Is What You Came For’ will slay this spring and summer and there is nothing we can do about it. Both artists are at the top of their game at the moment so there is seriously no way that this will not do well. Luckily for all of us, they came up with a pretty damn fine tune that we wouldn’t mind having blasting out of our speakers when the sun gets warmer. To be fair this is neither refreshing or progressive for Rihanna, nor for Calvin, but who cares. Why change a winning team and method right? Rihanna sounds great during the verses and even towards the chorus with some ear catching vocal effects, it works. The production is danceable and smooth, like we would expect from Calvin. The ‘you-ou-ou’ parts might get a little too repetitive towards the end, but at the same time it is exactly the part you will hum the rest of your day. Well played!
