Shura ready for release debut album with infectious new single
After an impressive string of singles, Shura is finally treating us to her debut album Nothing’s Real. The record will be released on the 8th of July, but while we are waiting we can now enjoy the brand new track ‘What’s It Gonna Be’, which will be the single leading up to the album launch. The song was premiered last night at BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac’s Hottest Record in the World. And a hot record it is for sure!
Shura had her unexpected breakthrough in 2014 when her slow burning song ‘Touch’ suddenly became an internet hit. She kept on impressing us with the 90s R&B inspired ‘2Shy’ and the banging chorus of ‘White Light’ and now she brings us the dreamy but oh so catchy ‘What’s It Gonna Be’. Definitely one of the best choruses she wrote so far and the whole light and subtle production is just lush. Shura explained how the record is about fancying someone you maybe have a connection with, but then realizing it is actually not going to happen and wanting clarity. Such a delicious tune! Note the 8th of July down in your agenda, as this is going to be a brilliant album!
You can listen to the track over at the BBC.
