The name Polina might not yet immediately ring a bell, but the chances are high you did hear her sing before. She is the voice on Felix Jaehn’s ‘Book Of Love’ and sang on tracks by Eminem, Steve Aoki and Kaskade. She is also perfectly capable of doing things on her own by the way! Her single ‘Fade To Love’, released in 2014, made waves online and now she is back with a potential summer hit called ‘Little Babylon’.

If you ask me, the best summer hits are the laidback ones that feel like a summer breeze, which you can enjoy on a hot day at the beach and while drinking cocktails watching the sunset, but at the same time are danceable enough to party to as well. That is exactly what Polina serves us on ‘Little Babylon’. The track opens with a relaxed guitar riff that flows into a soft beat. Polina’s vocals are tailor made for this kind of dance tune and she carries the smooth chorus perfectly. To top things off, we get some sunny saxophone sounds as well. Not the tacky kind, but it is used in a subtle manner that truly takes ‘Little Babylon’ to a higher level.
