Olly Murs comes back with new style on ‘You Don’t Know Love’
Olly Murs has been a busy man ever since he finished as a runner up during X Factor UK in 2009. After the show he released albums for three consecutive years and in 2014 he released his most recent record, Never Been Better. The singer had a long string of UK hits with some international success as well, most notably for ‘Heart Skips A Beat’, ‘Troublemaker’ with Flo-Rida and Demi Lovato duet ‘Up’. We had to wait two years after that, but mister Murs is back. On Friday his new single ‘You Don’t Know Love’ will be officially released and he tries a new, more electronic sound on this one, like a natural progression from the single ‘Kiss Me’. Suits him well!
The song opens with some heavy vocal effects, followed by a pumping electronic beat. That is not what we are used too from Olly, but we aren’t complaining, because this track builds up to an undeniably strong and catchy chorus. Who would have thought his voice would sound so good on this kind of steamy electronic pop!? The lyrics are sharp this time around. “Thanks to you I know lies, lies lies, how it feels when love dies, dies, dies”, he sings about a relationship turned sour. Quite the break up anthem! I can’t see this not becoming huge. Olly Murs will be all over UK radio this summer!
