Friday’s Five Tunes with Hannah Georgas

Hannah Georgas - Rideback -1500x

Always wondered what pop stars themselves listen to whenever they are not on stage or writing new music? It’s time to find out! Every week, A Bit of Pop Music will bring you Friday’s Five Tunes, a selection of five favourite songs by a current pop artist. This week Hannah Georgas lists her favourite songs for us.

Hannah Georgas is currently busy promoting her third record called For Evelyn. The Canadian artist won awards with her two previous albums and this new one will probably follow suit as it is a perfectly balanced electronic pop record, that feels like an emotional journey. She dives in the depths of her soul on tracks like the first single ‘Don’t Go’ with a brilliant and production and a gorgeous melody in the chorus. She talked to A Bit of Pop Music about her own favourite tunes.

Bob Dylan – Lay Lady Lay
“I would have no problem at all listening to this song all day. It makes me emotional.”

Chris De Burgh – Lady In Red
“I fell in love with this song, because my mom loves it very much. Whenever I listen to this, it reminds me of her.”

Daft Punk – Make Love
“This song is the perfect soundtrack if you wanna go for a run. I love exercizing while listening to it. The groove is constant and amazing.”

Interpol – Untitled
“I love that the only lyric in this song is “I will surprise you sometime. I’ll come around when you’re down.” It’s so romantic and spontaneous.”

Tame Impala – Be Above It
“I listened to this album a lot in the last couple of years. If I would have to pick one track of it, it would be this one.”

Those are some serious classics Hannah! We honestly hope her fantastic single ‘Don’t Go’ will become one too in the near future.
