Single Review: DJ Snake feat. Justin Bieber – Let Me Love You

DJ Snake Encore

DJ Snake and Justin Bieber collaborate on future hit ‘Let Me Love You’
Justin Bieber has been an important player in the recent trend of pop tunes with electronic productions and catchy drops as (post) choruses. His collaboration with Skrillex and Diplo ‘Where Are Ü Now’ was an international hit which he followed up with the highly successful album Purpose with monster success ‘Sorry’. After his Major Lazer and MØ collaboration track ‘Cold Water’ dropped last month, we can already enjoy his smooth vocals on a new tune in the same genre; the tune ‘Let Me Love You’ on DJ Snake’s album, released today.

We know the French DJ Snake from hits like ‘Turn Down For What’ with Lil Jon, his remix of AlunaGeorge’s ‘You Know You Like It’ and of course the Major Lazer and MØ smash ‘Lean On’. Today he finally released his debut album Encore which the Justin Bieber track is a part of. Of course the fans of the young Canadian pop star go crazy about the track and made the title number 1 trending topic on Twitter. Is it worthy of all the praise? Well, again Bieber attaches his name to something that is right on the money and his smooth vocals, including the higher register, fit this style like a glove. The chorus with the ‘na na na’ parts is incredibly catchy and if this will be released as a single, it will for sure be a big hit again. DJ Snake could have used a little more variation on the drop though, which sounds a bit too similar to his work on ‘Lean On’. Oh well, still a tune and a half!
