Röyksopp and Susanne Sundfør team up again with ‘Never Ever’
Röyksopp and Susanne Sundfør have proven in the past to thrive in collaborations. Both Norwegian electronic pop acts have worked with numerous other artists over the past few years. Röyksopp recorded a few of their finest tunes together with Robyn, including ‘The Girl and the Robot’ and ‘Do It Again’ while Susanne recorded vocals for M83 and Kleerup. Both acts came together for the first time on the magical single ‘Running To the Sea’ and performed and recorded together on more occasions. Their new collaboration is called ‘Never Ever’ and needless to say it’s a tune and a half!

In comparison to the dramatic and dark ‘Running To the Sea’, ‘Never Ever’ is light and poppy. The production swings with some hints of disco and funk, somewhat similar to the more recent work of Daft Punk. The chorus is infectious to say the least and sure won’t be willing to leave your head anytime soon, reminding us of some 80s pop classics. Sundfør proves her crystal clear vocals work just as well on a fun track like this and she sounds gorgeous especially during the middle eight. Röyksopp and Susanne Sundfør prove themselves to be a match made in heaven and we need a full collaboration album!

Update: The colourful video is out now!
