John Mayer returns with romantic ‘Love On The Weekend’
It was about time that John Mayer made his return in the pop scene! The singer-songwriter dropped his most recent album Paradise Valley in 2013 and the only thing we have heard from him ever since was his cover of Beyoncé’s ‘XO’. Now it is finally time for some brand new music! His seventh studio album The Search For Everything will be released next year, but the first taste, single ‘Love On The Weekend’, is out now. That was well worth the wait!

‘Love On The Weekend’ is John Mayer at his finest. We get a laidback rhythm, a bluesy guitar and those warm, soothing vocals that filled up the radio stations a few years ago when he had hit after hit with tracks like ‘Who Says’, ‘Heartbreak Warfare’, ‘Perfectly Lonely’ and ‘Shadow Days’. ‘Love On The Weekend’ could easily be the next one in that list. The track is catchy in the most subtle way and the lyrics about waiting until the weekend to see your lover again will speak to many people who are in a long distance relationship. John Mayer promised in a Q&A with his fans that he would release more music in 2017 then he ever did before in one year. Bring it on John!
