Miriam Bryant drops new single ‘Everything’
Last year Miriam Bryant surprised us with the release of her fantastic single ‘Black Car’. This little slice of pop heaven ended up in A Bit of Pop Music’s 50 best singles of the year. Unfortunately things became quiet around the Swedish pop star after this release, but she is off to a good start in the new year with a brand new song. The single is called ‘Everything’ and once again shows off Bryant’s stunning vocals and her impeccable songwritng skills.
I expected great things for Miriam Bryant back when she released her first album in 2013, bringing us great pop tunes like ‘Push Play’ and ‘Finders, Keepers’. She has become a big name in her native Sweden, but with single ‘Everything’ she proves once more she deserves international success, just like peers Zara Larsson and Tove Lo. Where Miriam delivered quite the restrained and understated vocal performance over the laidback rhythm of ‘Black Car’, this time around she belts it out in an explosive chorus. The post chorus bit is even catchier with the repetition of the lyrics ‘you’ll never change’. Emotions run high with her deep vocals making us feel all sorts of things. During the middle eight she delivers an ear catching mix of piano and synths which carefully builds up to that final chorus. ‘Everything’ showcases from start to finish why Miriam Bryant is a vocal and songwriting force to reckon with.
