Maggie Rogers announces EP and drops ‘On + Off’
Maggie Rogers took the world by storm last year when a video of her introducing her song ‘Alaska’ to Pharrell Williams during a masterclass, surfaced online. Williams wasn’t the only one gobsmacked by her talent. Her first two singles ‘Alaska’ and ‘Dog Years’ earned her the title of A Bit of Pop Music’s Most Promising Artist for 2017. The new track ‘On + Off’ is the first thing we hear by her in the new year and she sure does not disappoint!
Today, Rogers announced the release of her EP Now That The light Is Fading. The collection of tracks will be released on the 17th of February and will feature the three singles and two new tracks, titled ‘Color Song’ and ‘Better’. ‘On + Off’ is just as catchy as its two predecessors, although it leans a little more heavily on the electronic side of her music. The melody lines are still folk inspired though and the choir like layering of her vocals is quite mesmerizing. Maggie Rogers is still our one to watch for this year!
