Justin Bieber ready for another chart topper with David Guetta
We all know how Justin Bieber turned from teen idol into a major pop star with the release of his latest album Purpose and the singles ‘What Do You Mean’ and ‘Sorry’, but the Canadian singer keeps on building his empire. After he had successful collaborations with Major Lazer and DJ Snake last summer, he is ruling the charts this year with the ‘Despacito’ remix with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee and ‘I’m The One’, a single by DJ Khaled. As if that all was not enough, David Guetta now launches a new single titled ‘2U’ with Bieber’s vocals on it!
Judging by the success of ‘Despacito’ and ‘I’m The One’, the world is not nearly done with Justin Bieber yet so the chances of ‘2U’ becoming a huge hit in the coming weeks, are reasonable to say the least. It is basically everything you would expect from a collab by Guetta and Bieber; it is extremely contemporary, sounds right on trend, insanely catchy and just as predictable. People hoping for those uninspired post chorus beat drops to fade away will have to wait another few months, because ‘2U’ is going to be all over the radio. To be fair, Guetta could use a big hit at this point, as his most recent releases, including a Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne track, did not exactly set the charts on fire. As if this release was not going to draw enough attention to itself with Bieber involved, they also released a music video with some Victoria’s Secret Angels lip syncing the lyrics. Guaranteed success!
