Sigala teams up with Ella Eyre for potential summer hit ‘Came Here For Love’
24-year-old British producer and DJ Bruce Fielder, better known under his stage name Sigala, has been working with quite some big stars recently. After recording with Nile Rodgers, John Newman, Craig David and Hailee Steinfeld, he can now add fellow Brit upcoming star Ella Eyre to this list. The two recorded the summer ready single ‘Came Here For Love’ together and for Eyre it is the first new music since she released her debut album Feline in the summer of 2015.
Although Eyre had a few moderate hits with solo singles like ‘If I Go’, ‘Together’ and ‘Comeback’, her biggest successses so far were with collaborations. ‘Waiting All Night’ with Rudimental reached the number 1 spot in her home country while DJ Fresh collab ‘Gravity’ reached top 5. I would not be surprised if ‘Came Here For Love’ becomes a similar success. It is released just in time for European summer and it is almost impossible to sit still when it plays. It swings and then some! The production is contemporary with the well known tropical house feel, but the irresistible horn inspired post-chorus is better than most. Ella’s raw and soulful vocals work wonders with this light summer bop. A match made in heaven!
