Shania Twain returns with new single and announces comeback album
Yes, you are reading this right! Shania Twain is back! The Canadian country pop sensation hasn’t released an album since 2003’s UP!, but that is finally going to change. In 2011 Twain briefly returned to pop with the mostly forgotten single ‘Today Is The Day’, but this time it is for real. Her brand new track is called ‘Life’s About To Get Good’ and it is taken from the upcoming album Now, which will be released on the 29th of September. Will she be able to reach her former levels of success?

Shania Twain was an absolute hit sensation in the late 90s when single after single from her Come On Over album stormed the charts. ‘You’re Still The One’, ‘Man! I Feel Like A Woman’ and ‘That Don’t Impress Me Much’ all turned into classics. The chances of ‘Life’s About To Get Good’ following the same path are next to nothing, but that does not mean it isn’t an enjoyable comeback. First of all it is great to hear her voice again, which seems to sound quite a bit lower these days than when we last heard it on a full record.

The song itself is not a huge departure from her world famous catchy pop tunes with country influences. It is uplifting, easy on the ear, settles in your mind immediately and will sing through your brain for the rest of the day. We didn’t expect anything else from a Shania single, now did we? Lyrically ‘Life’s About To Get Good’ might be a bit too light, but all together this is a worthy comeback after all those years!
