Kesha shows off her playful side on ‘Woman’
Kesha impressed last week when she finally returned with her long awaited comeback single ‘Praying’. The dramatic ballad about the tough time she went through showed off her powerful vocals and especially the message of the song was widely praised. The American pop star at the same time announced the release date for her next album. Third record Rainbow will be out on the 11th of August. Kesha is not planning to make us wait too long for new tracks though, as ‘Woman’ is the first of a few promo singles to be launched before the big day.

While she showed off a mature and emotional side on ‘Praying’, ‘Woman’ makes clear that she still does playful and fun effortlessly. It’s a swinging pop tune with prominent horns, brought to us by the Dap-Kings Horns, with an incredibly catchy chorus. Lyrically, this feminist anthem is quite obvious and in your face, but it does suit the style of the song. Kesha uses her voice in ways she did not do on her albums before and it already gives her music more depth and diversity. I can’t wait to hear what she has in store for us next week!
