Jessie Ware belts passionately on new single ‘Midnight’
We had to wait three years for this moment, but Jessie Ware is back! Well, to be fair three years is a bit of an exaggeration as the British singer-songwriter did drop some tracks for soundtracks here and there (Fifty Shades of Grey and Me Before You), but her second album Tough Love saw the light of day back in 2014. Jessie Ware married and gave birth to a daughter and now she is fully ready to share her experiences with us on her upcoming third album which she described as her most romantic to date. If first single ‘Midnight’ is anything to go by, she is absolutely right!

Jessie Ware is mostly known for her sensual and understated vocals on tracks like ‘Devotion’ and ‘Tough Love’, but with her most successful single to date ‘Say You Love Me’, she proved she can easily belt out soulfully as well. On ‘Midnight’ she uses a bit of both. The track starts out with a mysterious vibe and subtle hooks and then suddenly turns into a 90s sounding soul ballad with big vocals and high notes. “Don’t let me fall through, now that I need you”, she begs of her love interest. ‘Midnight’ is a beautiful continuation of her signature sound, but not without adding a fresh twist.
