Miley Cyrus teases album release with new promo single
We are only one week away from hearing Younger Now, the upcoming album by Miley Cyrus. The American pop star who was the talk of the town back in 2013 when she dropped her much discussed singles ‘We Can’t Stop’ and ‘Wrecking Ball’ taken from the Bangerz album, is doing things differently now. Earlier this year she returned with the breezy, country inspired pop song ‘Malibu’, which became another hit for her. Second single and title track of the upcoming record ‘Younger Now’, despite having an incredible chorus, was not able to repeat this success. In order to make the album release into a big moment, Cyrus launched the buzz single ‘Week Without You’.
Fans who have followed this era in Miley’s career, know she left the hiphop beats behind and welcomed back her country roots. ‘Week Without You’ is no exception with a light guitar and drum instrumentation and a beautifully soaring chorus. Miley manages to create a romantic vibe, a throwback all the way to the days one would put a dime in a jukebox. I am not sure if the youth of today is really here for this type of music, but I have to hand it to Miley. She seems to be capturing the atmosphere of the music she wants to make and its golden days effortlessly, not only with her new tracks but also with revisited versions of her earlier material. If you haven’t heard it yet, definitely check her ‘countrified’ version of ‘See You Again’!
