Clean Bandit and Julia Michaels team up for chart domination
Clean Bandit’s incredibly successful recent single run sure is one of the bigger surprises in pop over the past year. What’s even more baffling, is that, despite the success of these tracks, their sophomore album is still not in sight. After the reign of ‘Rockabye’ featuring Sean Paul and Anne-Marie and ‘Symphony’ with Zara Larsson, they have another potential hit lined up, titled ‘I Miss You’ featuring hit writer and performer Julia Michaels.

I have to be honest here. In comparison to ‘Rockabye’ and ‘Symphony’, ‘I Miss You’ is definitely a little less instant. Don’t panic though, it does still sound like a hit, but more of the laidback and subtle kind. Julia Michaels provides a smooth delivery of the soft and soaring chorus. The humming is quite infectious, but it does need a few more plays to settle in your mind. In terms of instrumentation, this could be described as typical Clean Bandit with a electronic back bone and some classical touches with their signature strings. I am confident this will do well charts wise, maybe not as big a hit as its two predecessors, but there is absolutely no shame in that.
