Bastille releases soundtrack for the movie Bright
It is just over a year ago that Bastille released their sophomore record Wild World, but they are already working on new music. Today we get to hear the first new track. It is titled ‘World Gone Mad’ and it is taken from the soundtrack of the upcoming Netflix original film Bright, starring Will Smith. It is what you would expect a dramatic soundtrack by Bastille to sound like. Needless to say it is a stunning track!

In the video we see Dan stroll around post apocalyptic streets, dodging explosions and people running around in desparation, of course intertwined with scenes of the actual movie. He sings his heart out to this big ballad that starts out with an acoustic guitar and builds up to an understated instrumentation that leaves enough room for the strings to leave a dramatic mark. Lyrically it is exactly what you would expect from a track with this title. ‘World Gone Mad’ is big and vivacious in terms of melody and vocals and that is exactly what we need from Bastille!
