Nina June prepares for album launch with new single Till Dawn
Nina June is almost ready to launch her long awaited debut record Bon Voyage. The Amsterdam based pop artist has been consistently dropping quality alt-pop tunes, starting with the exquisite ‘For Love’, which has garnered over 2 million streams in about two years time! Four more singles followed until it was time to launch the so called lead single, which is ‘Till Dawn’, released today! It might just be her best song to date!

Nina June’s tunes (oh, I like the sound of that) so far have been delicately mixing the acoustic with the electronic and the mysterious with the straightforward and catchy. ‘Till Dawn’ is arguably her most electronic, poppy and most of all catchy release so far. The thick synths and prominent handclap-beats lead into an infectious hook which seems to get bigger with every single time it comes around. During the last chorus you can’t really help but sing along with Nina when she goes: “we are, we are, calling for the night, from dusk till dawn, we are the ones, we are the ones in love”.

Lyrically, ‘Till Dawn’ is all about this love affair that is not supposed to happen in the day light. “It’s about a forbidden love, about two people who can only express their feelings in a world parallel to reality. It’s about the rush, the dark side, but also about capturing the beauty of the moment”, Nina explains. That fits perfectly with the slightly moody and definitely sultry sound of the track. ‘Till Dawn’ is produced by Nina and her long time collaborator Lieuwe Roonder while the mixing was done by Tim Bran, who knows a good pop song when he hears one, having worked with the likes of London Grammar, Rae Morris, La Roux and Birdy. Nina June’s debut record will be released in early 2018!
