Jax Jones and Ina Wroldsen team up for new single Breathe
Jax Jones had quite the successful year! The British producer and songwriter had a huge hit with ‘You Don’t Know Me’ featuring RAYE, released at the end of 2016. His next single, ‘Instruction’, featured Demi Lovato and brought him a summer hit! For his latest track ‘Breathe’ he teamed up with Ina Wroldsen. Her name might not immediately ring a bell, but she was the (uncredited) voice (and also songwriter) on Calvin Harris track ‘How Deep Is Your Love’. Her solo single ‘Lay It On Me’ is a gorgeous pop dance tune and her latest release ‘Strongest’ is a tune and a half as well. So there’s no going wrong with this collaboration… right!?

Right! ‘Breathe’ is exactly what you would expect it to be. The house beats are deep, the track is fast paced and the chorus is undeniable in every single way. The hook will probably haunt you for the rest of the day (don’t say I didn’t warn you). I have been annoying my neighbours with the ‘dam-dam-da-da’ bits for most of the day already! Ina Wroldsen has such a perfect pop vocal. Her tone is gorgeous! Hard to believe she has been writing for other artists for so long, hiding away that voice! In terms of lyrics ‘Breathe’ is not as attitude driven as both ‘You Don’t Know Me’ and ‘Instruction’, but hey, one cannot always be sassy, right?
