Christina Aguilera bares her soul on piano ballad Twice
Christina Aguilera finally returned to pop music last week when she dropped her long awaited comeback single ‘Accelarate’ featuring 2 Chainz and Ty Dolla $ign. A Bit of Pop Music’s review of the track pointed out that it is a more than decent tune, but simply did not give us enough Christina. We certainly can’t say the same about the second track taken from upcoming album Liberation, ‘Twice’. Aguilera serves us some out of this world vocals on this emotive piano ballad!

As we all know Aguilera had some of the biggest hits in her career, including ‘Hurt’ and ‘Beautiful’, with ballads mostly based on piano. With ‘Twice’ she excels on this type of track again. Vocally she starts out subdued, only to build to a belting climax where she sings her heart out. In the lyrics of ‘Twice’, Christina looks back at the decisions she made in her life, especially her love life, concluding: “I’d do it all again and won’t think twice.” There is something magical about the way this track is produced. The backing vocals, the harmonies, it all sounds glorious. I am fully back on board the Liberation train! The 15th of June can’t come soon enough!
