Shakira and Maluma team up once more on new track ‘Clandestino’
‘Never change a winning team’, they say. That is what Shakira and Maluma must have thought when they decided to give us yet another collaboration. The two latin pop stars worked together for the first time on the single ‘Chantaje‘, taken from Shakira’s most recent album El Dorado. On that record, they also collaborated on the track ‘Trap’. Today, the duo releases a brand new single titled ‘Clandestino’ and it sounds exactly like you would expect it to. It is a clever mix of pop and reggaeton with a catchy chorus and a swinging rhythm. It comes out just in time for summer which will definitely help their chances of scoring a hit. This will definitely catch on in the Spanish language market, but I don’t see Shakira and Maluma conquer the rest of the world with the pleasant, but predictable ‘Clandestino’.
