Dotter brings heatwave with new single
After Dotter suffered one of the biggest pop injustices in recent memory by not qualifying for the next round of Melodifestivalen (the Swedish pre-selection for Eurovision) with the outstanding single ‘Cry’, she now returns with new material. The Swedish pop singer-songwriter dropped the track ‘Heatwave’ over the weekend and it is a potential summer hit! In the lyrics, Dotter discusses an intense past relationship that still keeps her up at night. Of course she packed this in exactly the right amount of drama with bombastic drums and the vivacious kind of pop chorus we love. Needless to say she delivered another insanely catchy chorus to go with that. The “countless times I thought about us and the way that we touched” part elevates the chorus from a 9/10 to a 10/10. Oh and can we please acknowledge how she looks like an absolute star in her self-directed music video to go with the track!? Bring on the ‘Heatwave’!
