Alessia Cara does what she does best on comeback single
Can you believe it is over three years ago that Alessia Cara first poked her head around the corner in the pop world with her first single ‘Here’. Later in 2015 the Canadian pop star dropped her debut album Know-It-All, but it wasn’t until 2016, that she started to become the hit sensation she is these days. It was the single ‘Scars To Your Beautiful’ that took a long time to reach its full potential internationally, but it became her breakout hit! She continued to have success with Moana soundtrack ‘How Far I’ll Go’ and Zedd collaboration ‘Stay’. This week she starts the campaign for her upcoming sophomore album with first single ‘Growing Pains’.

‘Growing Pains’ is exactly what you think an Alessia Cara song with this title would sound like. It is a midtempo pop song with soulful vocals and lyrics about growing up, loneliness and trying to overcome the sadness that comes with that. This time around she does not try to cheer others up (like on ‘Scars To Your Beautiful’), but dives into her deepest feelings. She wrote the song completely on her own without any hit-composers, on a bad day on tour. It is an honest and personal track with an incredibly catchy ‘yeah yeah yeah’ post-chorus. That last part will make sure that Alessia’s ‘Growing Pains’ will makes waves on the radio and online!

Update: Alessia Cara released a fitting, modern dance choreography heavy video for her latest single!
