Broods returns with sunny synth pop single ‘Peach’
Broods is back with a brand new sound! The Kiwi duo consisting of brother and sister Caleb and Georgia Nott released their most recent album Conscious back in 2016. After promoting that record, they focused on solo projects for a while, but the ‘Bridges’ and ‘Heartlines’ hit makers are at it together again. They switched from Capitol Records to Neon Gold to record their third album. It won’t see the light of day until early 2019, but the first single, ‘Peach’, is out now!
Caleb and Georgia moved from New Zealand to Los Angeles and with them moving, comes a shift in their sound as well. They never sounded so upbeat, summery and uplifting before! ‘Peach’ is a swinging piece of light, soaring synth pop with an incredibly catchy hook. And the best thing is that this hook even comes before the banging chorus kicks off. The sound is slightly similar to Paramore’s most recent comeback, but produced in a more contemporary manner than their colleagues’ 80s inspired effort. Most of all, ‘Peach’ is a bop! I am convinced that everything is indeed ‘looking peach now’ in the near future of the career of Broods with a comeback single like that!
