Single Review: LÉON – Baby Don’t Talk

Leon baby don't talk

LÉON drops first single of long awaited debut LP
Swedish indie pop star LÉON is finally getting ready to drop her debut album. She had her big break in 2015 when her track ‘Tired of Talking’ took over the internet and has released three EPs so far (if you have been sleeping on her brilliance, catch up here with her six best tracks so far). Today she dropped the brand new single ‘Baby Don’t Talk’, which is the first one taken from her upcoming debut album, scheduled to be released next year!

LÉON created an instantly recognizable sound for herself, mostly consisting of soulful, midtempo pop tracks with her signature big vocals and straightforward lyrical content. Her impeccable ear for a strong hook did shine through on every single one of her songs so far and ‘Baby Don’t Talk’ is no exception. The track has a smooth production with prominent piano and synths and her sensual vocals do their best to keep the hook of the chorus in your mind for ages. In the lyrics she urges her lover to not say anything at all, because it could take away from the body talk they have going on. Yes LÉON, we have all been there. We all love a relatable little bop!
