Paloma Faith drops first single of album re-release
Little under a year ago, Paloma Faith graced us with the release of her fourth studio album The Architect. An updated version of the album full of political and social messages with singles ‘Crybaby’ and ‘Guilty’, will be released again next month. Paloma recorded a handful of new songs for the re-release, which goes under the name ‘Zeitgeist Edition’. Faith now shares the first new song of the collection. The track is called ‘Loyal’ and is perfectly in line with the sound of the rest of the album.

‘Loyal’ could best be described as a soulful, midtempo pop song with a big, vivacious chorus. The soaring melody is memorable on first listen and Paloma makes sure that she belts the words straight into your brain. The choir of backing vocals get a prominent place in the last chorus which makes for a satisfying climax. Lyrically ‘Loyal’ is all about not giving up on love, although it ain’t easy. Faith sings about how we always crave for perfect love, which makes us forget to have a look at what is right in front of us. A track that seems to be written from a personal experience, but has a universal message at the same time!
