Bastille teams up with Seeb for new track ‘Grip’
Bastille is not even in the midst of an album cycle at the moment, but the British band is having hit after hit. ‘Happier’, their collaboration with electronic hit producer Marshmello, just peaked and they already have the next one waiting for us. This time they teamed up with the Norwegian EDM producers duo Seeb. The track is called ‘Grip’ and sounds completely on trend. Admitted, the tune and its drop are quite predictable and certainly does not deserve a price for its originality, but it is hard to fault the execution. Lead singer Dan’s vocals sound as lush as always and ‘Grip’ is simply a very catchy track with a strong build up and a powerful production full of banging drums and thick beats. For those who want to hear some more unexpected Bastille work, they just dropped a new EP titled Other People’s Heartbreak Vol. 4 on which they cover the 90s classics ‘Don’t Let Go (Love)’ by En Vogue and ‘Would I Lie To You’ by Charles & Eddie. The band also announced that we can expect their third LP in 2019!
