The Chainsmokers and 5 Seconds of Summer team up for future hit
The Chainsmokers add another big pop act to their long list of collaborations. After working with Halsey, Coldplay and Kelsea Ballerini, they recorded a brand new track titled ‘Who Do You Love’ with Australian pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer. 5 Seconds of Summer recently started to enjoy more mainstream chart success with their poppy single ‘Youngblood’ and their track with The Chainsmokers follows a similar path and does stand a chance to become an even bigger hit. The (recent) styles of both acts blend well together on this incredibly catchy tune. The verses are driven by guitar and revolve around the vocals of the Australian guys, while the chorus has a big electronic breakdown with some excellent vocal effects. In the lyrics the boys suspect that their partner has a new lover and they demand to know with whom she actually wants to be. ‘Who Do You Love’ is not necessarily an original song with a unique sound, but it does follow trends and does sound like a 2019 hit!
