Single Review: P!nk – Walk Me Home

Pink walk me home

P!nk quick to return with new single and album announcement
When P!nk released her album Beautiful Trauma in October 2017, her fans had waited for a new LP for about five years. The American pop star did not want them to go through that again and already announced the follow up! Hurts 2B Human will be released in April and the first single ‘Walk Me Home’, appeared online today! P!nk wrote the song with Nate Ruess and Scott Harris. The song’s biggest feat is its larger than life sing-along chorus that could work just as well in an arena as at a bonfire. The production serves prominent drums and a vibe that brings bands like Mumford & Sons to mind. In the lyrics, P!nk admits she needs support and company in a tough time: “Walk me home in the dead of night, I can’t be alone with all that’s on my mind, So say you’ll stay with me tonight, ‘Cause there is so much wrong going on outside.” ‘Walk Me Home’ is a continuation of the more mature style of her most recent album. It sounds like a hit to these ears!

Update: P!nk is a lady in red in the beautiful music video for ‘Walk Me Home’. We see her in a busy city which suddenly is empty. P!nk soars and dances through the streets, followed by shadow dancers. The climax in the last chorus is a big moment in the video! So classy!
