AURORA warns us about the state of the earth on new single
Norwegian pop artist AURORA released one of the best albums of last year with her second record Infections of a Different Kind – Step 1. She returned in January with poppy new single ‘Animal’, taken from the second part which will be titled A Different Kind of Human – Step 2. AURORA released the second single taken from this project, ‘The Seed’, and she has a clear message for us!

AURORA’s lyrics are often rooted in a fascination for nature, which gets more literal on ‘The Seed’. The single, which she has been performing live for months now, is a message to the human kind about the way we treat our earth. The meaning behind the lyrics is very clear; if we continue this path, there won’t be anything left. “When the last tree has fallen and the rivers are poisoned, you cannot eat money”, she chants over ominous drums. The rich instrumentation elevates the track with piano and violin adding the dramatic touches the tune needs. ‘The Seed’ has a brilliant build up and she gets her message across perfectly with the dark nature of the production in the chorus. This track should definitely be used in campaigns to sustain the climate and our planet!

Update: AURORA premiered the powerful visuals for ‘The Seed’.
