Anna of the North drops new single ‘Used To Be’
Anna of the North made a comeback earlier this year with the single ‘Leaning On Myself’, finally following up her debut record Lovers. She now dropped the second track ‘Used To Be’ taken from what will probably be her sophomore album. Although both new tracks have a laidback rhythm, the sound of ‘Used To Be’ is considerably lighter and the melodies more instant. Anna’s delivery in the verses is almost like rapping, while the chorus is a soaring synth pop affair. In the lyrics, Anna sings to a former lover that she wants to get back with, asking them to ‘remember how it used to be’, wondering where it all went wrong. The synth melody over the chorus has a hypnotic quality and the whole thing is just damn catchy! Anna of the North never disappoints, now does she!?

In the video Anna gets to wash dogs. We are jealous!
