Single Review: Cheryl – Let You

Cheryl Let You

Cheryl releases second single of new project
Cheryl continues her comeback project after not spending any time on her music career for almost five years. The British star came back earlier this year with the single ‘Love Made Me Do It’ which reached the top 20 in the UK. The singer said beforehand that she would no longer pursue in music if the track and its follow ups would flop. She is trying her luck once more, this time with a tune called ‘Let You’.

Let me start with the good news that ‘Let You’ is a miles better song than its predecessor. She co-wrote it with fellow Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts, Chiara Hunter, Daniel Boyle and producers The Invisible Men. The collaboration resulted in an upbeat synth pop banger with a swinging production and a subtly euphoric chorus. In the lyrics, Cheryl addresses an unhealthy relationship in which she was the only one trying to make it work. Full of attitude, she declares that those times are behind her! This is Cheryl’s best single in over five years and I hope this will reflect in her chart position soon too!
