Loïc Nottet tries to let go of a relationship on emotional new single
Belgian pop star and Eurovision success Loïc Nottet launches the first single of this year. He represented his country at Eurovision back in 2015 with ‘Rhythm Inside’ ending in fourth place. His debut album Selfocracy followed in 2017 and ever since he has been gracing us with the singles ‘Doctor’ (2017), ‘Go To Sleep’ (2017), ‘On Fire’ (2018) and now his latest track ’29’.

’29’ is a piano based ballad that starts out subdued, but builds up to an explosive chorus in which Nottet shows off his characteristic vocals. He is generally not one to hold back on the big notes and he certainly does not do so on ’29’. The pain shines through in his delivery, making the lyrics about having one last moment with a lover before parting ways hit even harder. Towards the outro, he hits some insanely high notes which make for a nice finishing touch to this modern pop ballad. Nottet is a very talented songwriter and an even better vocalist and he deserves more international recognition!
