Shawn Mendes and Camilla Cabello join forces again on ‘Señorita’
Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello worked together for the first time back in 2015, when they dropped the duet ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’. Both artists became some of the world’s biggest pop stars not long afterwards. Cabello left Fifth Harmony and had a massive solo hit with ‘Havana’ taken from her self-titled debut. She recently collaborated with Mark Ronson on heartbreak anthem ‘Find U Again’. Mendes released his self-titled third album last year and has a long string of hits of which ‘If I Can’t Have You‘ is the most recent.
Mendes and Cabello are clearly eyeing a summer hit with ‘Señorita’. This breezy, guitar driven pop tune is equally cute and sensual. They already proved their voices melt well together and that is one of the strongest feats of their new collaboration too. Cabello opens the track with the super catchy chorus which will not leave your head anymore after. In all fairness, it is not exactly ground-breaking or memorable, but it serves its purpose as a cute summer hit about a summer love. They recorded a steamy video for the collaboration in which Cabello works as a waitress and Mendes stops by with his motor cycle to pick her up. Romantic!
