BANKS launches new single ‘Contaminated’ days before third album
BANKS is about to share her third album, appropriately titled III, with us later this week on the 19th of July, but to get us all ready, she now launches the new track ‘Contaminated’. It follows up fantastic lead single ‘Gimme’ and promo track ‘Look What You’re Doing To Me’ with Francis and the Lights. On ‘Contaminated’, BANKS slows things down with one of her characteristic moody and deep electronic productions. In the tradition of some of her finest tracks like ‘Mind Games’ and ‘Waiting Game’, the track starts out stripped back with fragile vocal work. As the track progresses, the ominous beats kick in and the track becomes the heartbreak anthem only BANKS can deliver. The chorus on ‘Contaminated’ is melodically stunning and sounds like an instant classic in her discography. This is quintessentially BANKS and BANKS at her finest all at the same time.
