Kensington sticks to what they know best on ‘What Lies Ahead’
After three years of not releasing any new material, Dutch rock band Kensington returned earlier this year with a fresh new sound on the single ‘Bats’. The overall sound was slightly more experimental and based on electronic pop music instead of their usual arena rock. They announced new album Time will be out on the 15th of November and launched new single ‘What Lies Ahead’ on Thursday. They seem to be playing it safer this time around by returning to the pop-rock sound we are used to from them. The track echoes the same build up as their biggest hits, but we can’t blame them for sticking to a successful formula. Especially not with a stunning middle-eight like that! ‘Bats’ was a more exciting and interesting single choice, but ‘What Lies Ahead’ does deliver what their fans love.
