Naaz more vulnerable than ever on beautiful new single ‘Damage :(‘
Naaz kicked off a new era in her career earlier this year in which she decided to work with Norwegian producer Askjell instead of doing it all herself. The first taste of this was the outstanding pop tune ‘TAPED’. She worked with the producer who also handled tunes for pop artists Sigrid and AURORA on all of her latest music. He co-wrote and produced her new single ‘damage :(‘ too and it is her most emotional and vulnerable work to date. On the midtempo pop track she sings about one of her lowest moments. She wrote about her feelings in a diary and then made them into the heartbreaking tune that ‘damage :(‘ is. As she describes it herself: ‘not every song has a happy ending and that is okay’. It feels like Naaz is coming into her own more with every release. She is honest, vulnerable and real and ‘TAPED’ and ‘damage :(‘ are among the best things the Dutch pop industry has to offer at the moment!
