Alicia Keys and Miguel get together on romantic duet ‘Show Me Love’
Sometimes you find two artists that sound like they were made to collaborate with each other. Alicia Keys and Miguel are two of those. I was surprised to find out they never collaborated on a proper duet before, as their styles of R&B complement each other perfectly. Keys, who dropped her most recent album Here back in 2016, recently collaborated with artists like James Bay, Mark Ronson and Pedro Capó and might be working towards an album release, but details haven’t been shared yet. Miguel released his record War + Leisure in 2017 and dropped a Spanish EP earlier this year. Hopefully they will find their way back to the top of the charts with the duet ‘Show Me Love’.
‘Show Me Love’ is produced by Keys and Morgan Matthews and was co-written by Keys, Matthews, Miguel and Tory Lanez. The warm and romantic ballad is mostly guitar based, which is played by musician Raphael Saadiq. It is an intimate and pure love song with heartwarming lyrics and smooth and sensual vocal work by both artists. They recorded a video for the song too, which was directed by Cara Stricker and stars Zoe Saldana and husband Marco Perego Saldana as well as Michael B. Jordan. The release is described a visual sonic experience and this makes sense as the visuals flow perfectly with the song. This might not go down in history as one of the most memorable releases by either artist, but Keys and Miguel finally recorded the duet we needed from them!
