5 Seconds of Summer announce new album Calm and drop ‘No Shame’
5 Seconds of Summer are in full promotion mode for their upcoming fourth album. The record is titled CALM and will be released on the 27th of March. Previous singles ‘Easier’ and ‘Teeth’ will be part of the record that follows up 2018’s Youngblood. To drive fans even further into a frenzy, they also dropped the brand new single ‘No Shame’, after which they named their upcoming US tour.

The Australian quartet have enjoyed heaps of international chart success after the poppy ‘Youngblood’ took over radio and ‘No Shame’ is a tune with similar potential. The chorus is a radio-friendly earworm with a groovy rhythm and a slick production. Luke Hemmings’s vocals sound explosive and full of life. The meaning behind the lyrics seems to be about the insatiable and never satisfied nature of people these days with references to the addictive power of fame and adoration they deal with on a daily basis as pop stars. “I only light up when cameras are flashin’, never enough and no satisfaction, got no shame, I love the way you’re screaming my name”, he sings over the chorus. This could well become one of the biggest hits of their career so far!
