Single Review: Paloma Faith – Last Night On Earth

Paloma Faith drops ‘Last Night On Earth’ as third Infinite Things single
Paloma Faith is preparing the release of her fifth album Infinite Things, out on the 13rd of November, her first since 2017’s The Architect. The British pop star kicked off the new era with the single ‘Better Than This’ in September and the second take ‘Falling Down’ followed earlier this month. The third track Faith shares with the world is the album closer ‘Last Night On Earth’ and it is the most impressive out of the three if you ask me!

Faith co-wrote ‘Last Night On Earth’ with Josh Record and Patrick Wimberly. The atmospheric ballad is about not wanting to go to sleep while being in a fight with your partner. “Don’t you sleep till we work this out. We got so much love, we got so much doubt. This could be our last night on earth, so
won’t you hold me now?”, Faith sings in a delicate high tone. She sounds gorgeous belting out the heartfelt lyrics of the chorus, driven by elegant melodies. I can already tell this will be a worthy album closer of Infinite Things.
