“A long, long time ago, when Marjolein was still a little girl, I used to ‘drum’ along with Céline Dion’s ‘My Heart Will Go On’ and I danced in front of the telly watching Janet Jackson’s ‘Together Again’ music video. I went to the shops to collect Britney Spears merchandise and was literally singing all the time. Now that I’m 21 and graduated in Journalism, some things changed, but I still sing whenever I feel like it! Music has been my passion for my whole life, but my taste seems to change every now and then. I tend to have periods where I listen to older classics, but a week later it could be all the new chart hits. From Sia to ABBA and from Lea Michele to Oscar and the Wolf, I like to think my taste in music is quite eclectic. On a good day I could even dance to the house records my boyfriend likes to listen to. I’m always open to discover new music and I will never forget the concerts I attended, including super stars like Shakira, Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears, but also performances by Katy B and Oh Land for example. Bring on the new tunes I’d say!”
