Sia releases second Adele collaboration as promo single
Sia sure knows how to strike the iron while it is hot. In september she made a glorious return with the single ‘Alive’, co-written by and for Adele. As we all know, Adele made her big comeback in the meantime as well and she is basically everything everyone is talking about in the music industry at the moment. Sia wrote another song for Adele’s record (together with miss Adkins herself) that got rejected in the end and she now decided to launch it as a promo single for the album This Acting, released in January.

For the people who don’t know him yet: Troye Sivan is a singer, songwriter, actor and vlogger from Australia, but born in South Africa. He is rapidly turning into the next big thing with the release of the so called Blue Neighbourhood trilogy. This string of three music videos accompanying his singles gained a lot of buzz all over the internet, which is the perfect build up to the release of his debut full length album with the same title, which will be released in December. Seriously, if you have 12 minutes of your precious time spare, it is definitely worth it to watch this short movie.
Sia unleashes single co-written by and for Adele
Before the huge success of Sia’s hit ‘Chandelier’ and the accompanying album 1000 Forms of Fear Sia focused more on songwriting for other artists for a while. She co-wrote wordwide hits like Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds’ and Ne-Yo’s ‘Let Me Love You (Until You Love Yourself)’ just to name a few. This inspired her to record an album full of songs co-written by herself, but which were intended for other artists. As the tracks are written from the perspective of someone else, Sia sees it as a form of acting to perform these tracks and that’s why the album is called This Is Acting. The first single, called ‘Alive’, was co-written with Adele and it was initially intended for her upcoming third album, but in the end Sia recorded this huge pop anthem herself.
Australian pop singer-songwriter develops sound in Europe
Sometimes good pop music comes from far away, like the other side of the world. Well, in the case of Mia Milan this is not entirely true. The Melbourne based Australian pop singer-songwriter actually worked extensively on her music during her time in Europe. Milan, who has Italian grandparents, visited the country of her roots to develop her musical direction. Of course she also went to one of the biggest pop producing countries in Europe, Sweden, to write and record. Her new single ‘I Won’t Cry’ is the first proof of this and it sounds rather promising.
Delta Goodrem is ready for another international hit
Delta Goodrem took the world by storm in 2003 when she had hits with the ballads ‘Born To Try’ and ‘Lost Without You’. Her debut album Innocent Eyes was an international success, but after this, Europe did not hear much of her anymore. Luckily, she kept on releasing new material and had success after success in her home country Australia, where she still is one of the country’s biggest pop stars. Delta is in full preperation for the release of an upcoming fifth studio album and ‘Wings’ is the official first single.
