Tonight is the big night. Europe will choose its next Eurovision Song Contest winner. Over the past week, 20 finalists have been selected in the semi finals, and seven songs (the big 5, last year’s winner and guest of honor Australia) already had a spot on the saturday night to begin with. Eurovision 2015 Semi Final 2: Review, results and analysis

On thursday night, Europe chose another ten finalists for the Eurovision Song Contest of 2015 that takes place in Vienna, after Conchita’s victory last year. Luckily, the quality of most songs and performances was slightly better in this round which made for an enjoyable show. No big surprises in terms of results: I even predicted all ten finalists right. But enough about me, let’s talk about the performances.

Interview Elnur Hüseynov: ‘I represent myself with ‘Hour of the Wolf”

Azerbaijan is represented by Elnur Hüseynov in the 60th Eurovision Song Contest this year. It is not the first time the singer represents his country. In 2008, he was the first ever contestant for Azerbaijan together with Samir, when they performed the song ‘Day After Day’ as angel and devil. In the meantime he won the voice of Turkey and now he is back in Eurovision with the ballad ‘Hour of the Wolf’. Like almost every year, Azerbaijan is one of the hot favourites for the win in Vienna. I spoke to Elnur about participating in Eurovision for the second time and his admiration for the Australian participant Guy Sebastian.
