MØ is ready for another hit with next Diplo collaboration
Since last summer, basically everyone who didn’t live under a rock does know who MØ is. The Danish indie artist was catapulted into stardom when ‘Lean On’, her collaboration with the hit producers of Major Lazer, became one of the biggest hits of the season wordwide. The combination of her quirky little style and the pumping beats and banging rhythms of Major Lazer turned out to be a golden one. And you know what they say: never change a winning team. That’s why MØ teamed up with Diplo (part of Major Lazer) again for her brand new single ‘Kamikaze’. They sure have another hit on their hands!

Interview Oh Land: “I wanted to make music out of necessity again”

Danish electronic pop artist Oh Land is quite the productive pop star with four albums released from 2008 to 2014. The singer toured Europe with the most recent record, called Earth Sick. During her stay in Amsterdam I had a chat with Nanna (Oh Land’s real name) about everything that has happened in her career so far, from her time as a ballet dancer to the moment she decided to go independent and release the fourth album through Pledge. “I wanted to go back to the necessity to make music I once felt.”

Oh Land plays Earth Sick for fans in Amsterdam
Danish pop artist Oh Land came to Amsterdam to play a headlining show for the fourth time in her career. After two shows in Bitterzoet and one at Paradiso, she now played the upstairs room of the famous venue. This time around she is touring to promote her fourth album, called Earth Sick, which was released in November 2014. She financed the recording through Pledge, where people can fund the project and get an album in return. She produced the record in her appartment in Brooklyn and was eager to play the tracks live for her Dutch fans. After 30 minutes of delay as Oh Land had to wait until Jessie J’s gig in the same venue finished, she delivered a show with some minor technical issues, but also with a lot of passion and personality.
