The artist from Amsterdam went to New Orleans, Nashville and Copenhagen to work on new tunes together with a group of friends, including American singer-songwriter Michael Logen. Oh Land plays Earth Sick for fans in Amsterdam
Danish pop artist Oh Land came to Amsterdam to play a headlining show for the fourth time in her career. After two shows in Bitterzoet and one at Paradiso, she now played the upstairs room of the famous venue. This time around she is touring to promote her fourth album, called Earth Sick, which was released in November 2014. She financed the recording through Pledge, where people can fund the project and get an album in return. She produced the record in her appartment in Brooklyn and was eager to play the tracks live for her Dutch fans. After 30 minutes of delay as Oh Land had to wait until Jessie J’s gig in the same venue finished, she delivered a show with some minor technical issues, but also with a lot of passion and personality.

But what is it about Years & Years that attracts so much hype? Their single ‘King’ became a worldwide hit and judging by the crowd in Amsterdam, they already have quite a large die hard following. But did they live up to the high expectations live?

Paloma Faith gloriously returns to Paradiso after five years

In the United Kingdom, Paloma Faith has been one of the biggest female pop stars over the past few years, but in the Netherlands she did not really have a hit single yet. Still she managed to sell out Paradiso with ease, before traveling to Utrecht for a gig in TivoliVredenburg.
