Single Review: O’G3NE – But I Do

O’G3NE returns with first single since Eurovision
After their respectable 11th position in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, O’G3NE went through a tough time. The mother of the three sister sadly passed away and the girls took a break from the spotlights to spend time with their family. Now they are back on tour and they just launched their first single since the Eurovision adventure, titled ‘But I Do’.

The O’G3NE sisters impressed the juries during Eurovision with their impeccable performance full of spot on harmonies, but the televoters at home weren’t as fond of their 90s inspired ‘Lights and Shadows‘. If they were hoping for something more contemporary and uptempo, they might have liked ‘But I Do’ better. This track, co-written by Swedish super star Zara Larsson, has a modern production and a catchy little chorus. Lyrically it is all about trying to, but failing at, getting over an (ex-)lover. Of course they succeeded in shoving some beautiful harmonies in. This has the potential to be one of their first hits with an original song!
